Included in the price:
- VAT and fees.
- 1 hour grace period counting from the scheduled return time.
- Unlimited mileage.
- Own 24-hour assistance service in case of accident or breakdown. (Punctures not included )
- Vehicle Theft Coverage (TP)
- Personal injury assistance (PAI)
- Accident and damage coverage WITHOUT excess (SCDW)
- Free cancellation up to 7 days before delivery of the vehicle.
In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, it is mandatory that the client fill out an accident / damage report and deliver it to our office. Likewise, in the event of the theft of the vehicle, the client is obliged to report it to the Police and deliver the report to our office.
Any accident or damage to the vehicle that is not notified will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the client and the client may incur additional expenses.
The insurance arranged by the lessor covers the lessee and drivers authorized in this contract, against civil liability (damages to third parties) in the amount of seventy million euros (€ 70,000,000.-).
They are not covered by any insurance:
and therefore the following cases of loss or damage will be borne by the client:
- Loss or damage to keys.
- Fuel refueling error.
- Bumps on the underside, wheels and side sills of the vehicle.
- Towing service (Only when the client incurs negligence not covered by insurance.)
- Damage to the clutch due to misuse.
- Damage to inner parts of the vehicle result of wrong use.
- Traffic fines.
- Convertible vehicles. Damage in roof or windows.
- Damage produced by severe weather events.
Any costs or penalties not included in conditions will be directly charge to the card provided without previous advice needed.
Credit / Debit Cards:
VISA and Mastercard are accepted.
Assistance included:
24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Own assistance in case of accident or breakdown. Punctures not included. In that case, the user is responsible of changing the wheel or bringing the car to our offices so it can be fixed free of charge or replaced for another vehicle.
Assistance may take up to a maximum of 3 hours.
Fuel Policy:
There will be no upfront fuel charges . The vehicle is delivered with a minimum of 1/4 of the deposit and must be returned with the same fuel.
If is returned with less fuel as established in contract, the difference plus a 15 Euros fee in concept of refueling service will be charged from the card provided. If the car is returned with more fuel, it will not entail economical compensation.
Traffic fines:
Minurka SLU (Minurka rent a car) will charge an administrative fee of € 15 (VAT included) to the client when we receive a traffic fine. Minurka rent a car is obliged by law to provide the authorities with the data of customers who receive a traffic fine during the rental period.
This rate does not include the payment of the traffic fine; it will be the client who has to make the payment of the same directly with the authorities.
Return of the vehicle in unauthorized area:
Customers who abandon the vehicles in a place other than the one agreed in the rental contract will be responsible for the costs generated by the breach of the contract. In addition, apart from the daily rental rate, there will be a charge of: 50 Euros (VAT included) penalt
Restrictions:
- Vehicles cannot be taken off the island.
- It is mandatory to present the following valid documents : Passport/ID Card, driving licence and credit/debit card.
- Clients will have to provide us with a local address (flat, apartment, villa, hotel, etc.).
- The minimum age of the driver is 22 years old, with a driving license older than 24 months. Supplement young driver from 22 to 25 years old.
- Drivers over 70 years old will have the same conditions as young drivers 22-25 years old. Maximum age to rent a car 75 years old.
- In the event that the reserved vehicle category is not available at the time of collection, a higher category vehicle will be provided at no additional cost.
- The insurance does not cover, in any case, accidents and damages caused by driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medications or any other substance that reduces the driver’s ability, as well as when the driver is not authorized to drive the leased vehicle or even if it is, the claim occurs in breach of the provisions of the contract or the traffic regulations.
- The transport of goods or animals can be only with the express consent of the lessee (Minurka SLU). Non-observance of this Regulation may lead to additional cleaning/maintenance costs.
- To the User it is hereby strictly forbidden to assign, lend, mortgage pledge, sell, give as a guarantee the vehicle, the rental contract, the keys, the documentation, the equipment, the tools and / or accessories of the vehicle and / or any part or piece of it, or treat the rented vehicle in a way that damages Minurka SLU.
Geolocalization :
Minurka SLU reserves the right to have their fleet geolocalized.
Standard or extreme cleaning:
The rental price includes a standard cleaning of the vehicle, however, in the event that the vehicle is returned in a state of extreme dirt, Minurka SLU will invoice the costs for special cleaning.
Booking cancellation:
Free cancellation up to 7 days before delivery of the vehicle and refund of deposit paid.
The cancellation of a confirmed reservation notified with less than 7 days before rental start date, will have a 10% cancellation fee. 25% if notified with less than 48 hours before the start of the rental. In case of NO SHOW, the deposit will not be refunded.
Once rental has started, refunds will not be accepted.
Booking modification :
A modification of a confirmed reservation will always depends on the availability of vehicles and service. The rate applied can be different as the originally booked.
Late Return of the vehícle :
If the vehicle is returned later than the date agreed in the rental contract, the client will be responsible for the payment of € 10 per hour (VAT included).
Deliveries / Pickups of vehicles at Menorca airport.
Delivery and collection at the airport have no additional cost. Vehicle deliveries / returns are made in Parking 1 (Meeting point just right in front of the terminal). NO QUEUES OR TRANSFERS. Returning the vehicle to a point other than the delivery point carries a supplement.
Deliveries / Collection of vehicles in the Port of Ciutadella and Mahón.
The delivery and collection in the Port of Ciutadella has no additional cost. The deliveries / returns of the vehicles are made in Port’s Rent a Car Parking. NO QUEUES OR TRANSFERS.
